JEWELLERY TO MATCH YOUR MOOD

As you know here at I Am Stunning, we believe jewellery can evoke and invoke feelings. We love to see our customers’ pictures or hear their stories which describe how they feel confident, sassy, or beautiful when they add their favourite pieces to their neckline, wrists, ears and hands. But did you know that colour therapy can also be applied to jewellery? Gemstones can most definitely affect your mood, so we thought we’d write a piece about how to match your jewellery to whatever mood you’d like to achieve!

I AM HAPPY

Fashion stylists often recommend sunshine yellow or zesty orange clothes if you want to inject some happiness and positivity into your day and feel cheerfully on top of the world. Jewellery is exactly the same! Imagine how great you’d look (and feel) in, say, a canary yellow feather necklace or a bright orange earrings! You’d liven up any dull Monday morning – not only for yourself, bit possibly for those around you too.

I AM CALM

Green, on the other hand, is energising, restorative and health-giving, and brings calm, so it is ideal to wear for a job interview or a meeting you’re maybe dreading a little. Lime green, peridot or deep emerald green stones and accessories are all perfect ways to instil a feeling of calm into your hectic day at work.

I AM CONFIDENT

Ruby red jewellery or even hot pink stones and stacked wrist pieces a great choice if you want to appear confident, dramatic and flirtatious – but be warned, red can also enhance any emotion you’re already feeling, so it’s a colour to avoid if you’re in a negative or angry mood.

I AM CREATIVE

Creative types will receive an inspiration boost from purple jewellery, whether you choose Amethyst earrings, a Tanzanite pendant or simple purple beads or beach bracelets. It is such a rich and interesting colour and the spectrum of beautiful summery lilacs to deep winter aubergines means you can be inspired year-round! Purple is also deemed to be a very royal and regal colour, so it’s a good colour to wear if you’re feeling like the cat that got the cream!
